Sabaragamuwa Dance 

The Sabaragamuwa dance style is performed to worship the God of Saman and this dance is exclusively performed in Ratnapura .......


 What's more, this dance style is a combination of both Kandyan Dance and Low country Dance. Both male and female dancers are allowed to perform this dance.


There are four territorial divisions in terms of Sabaragamuwa dance namely that of πŸ‘‡


ThRatnapura, Kalawana, Balangoda, and Badulla divisions. Each area has a slightly different version of the ritualistic dances that make up the Sabaragamuwa tradition of dance, but Ratnapura has been historically celebrated as the heart of Sabaragamuwa dance in Sri Lanka.
